Introduction: the Brain Challenge

2012 is The Year of Neuroscience in Spain. This is a field that has seen great advances in the last two decades. With this feature, Mètode intends to contribute to the celebration with three articles that present different perspectives of this discipline and help us to better understand its importance.

Neuroscience is currently facing some of the most important challenges in its history. Its success could help us give a scientific explanation to questions for which we still do not have an answer about topics related to human behaviour, reasoning, conscience or morality. A chance to develop the knowledge we cannot afford to waste.
