Mètode goes for the first time into the audiovisual world and launches a Youtube channel— Mètode TV, which aims at the popularisation of science— that starts broadcasting today. Mètode TV starts broadcasting with «Mètode Talks», a series of interviews with scientists and researchers that will explain their work and will bring us closer to different scientific current issues. In our first talk, we interview Daniel Climent and Ferran Zurriaga—authors of Mètode’s book Herbari—, which is now available on our website.

The journal intends to promote popular science in audiovisual formats. With this goal in mind, Mètode has also opened the possibility of sending your «Whys and Wherefores» in this format, a section that intends to stir the readers’ curiosity and promote their participation in the journal, especially among primary and secondary students. Some of the answers given will also be recorded and broadcasted, so that it is available to a wider audience.

Metode TV’s launch means an approach to a wider audience with the aim of bringing science closer to the people. Through the use of different formats combined, Mètode intends to transform its website into a multimedia portal filled with popular science contents that are able to reach an increasingly wider audience.
