«Mètode» and Claustre Obert organize the debate «Cancer: Scientific and Social Challenge»
Cancer, despite the phenomenal medical advances achieved during the last decades, poses as one of the most feared illnesses today, which is why it is capital to offer spaces where detailed information can be accessed directly from the hands of doctors and scientists devoted to cancer research and treatment. Tuesday 17th September, Mètode journal and Claustre Obert organize a debate under the title «Cancer: Scientific and Social Challenge», to analyse the current situation of the illness. The event will take place in the Aula Magna at La Nau centre (c/ Universitat, 2, Valencia) at 19 hours. During the event, issue 77 of the journal, The Thin Line: Cancer in the 21st Century, will be presented. Copies of the journal will be distributed among the participants. Different documents, which can serve as introduction for the debate, can be accessed in the NAU XXI programme. The debate will be broadcasted live through the University of Valencia television website, and the podcast will be available in the debate section of NAU XXI. With the event, Mètode journal continues the series of public presentations of the journal, in order to open debate in society about the topics of its monographs.
