Discovering All the Shades of Green
In this activity by Animated Garden we will extract chlorophyll
The activity proposed by Animated Garden will enable us to discover all shades of green. The materials and tools needed are: greens, alcohol, scissors, a mortar and filter paper. With them we will procede to the extraction of chlorophyll, a pigment separation method called chromatography that was already described in 1910 by Russian botanist M. Tsweet.
