Karen Poe Lang

Full Professor at the University of Costa Rica and researcher associated with the Transcaribe Network. She is a Professor in several PhD programmes, including the programme for Cultural Studies, at the University of Costa Rica. She has published several books including Eros pervertido. La novela decadente en el modernismo hispanoamericano (Biblioteca Nueva, 2010), for which she obtained the Essay Award of the Costa Rican Academy of Language in 2012. In 2015 she organised the international conference «Entre literatura y medicina. Narrativas transatlánticas de la enfermedad (América Latina, el Caribe y España)» in San José (Costa Rica).
