Jeffrey L. Bada

Distinguished Research Professor, and Distinguished Professor Emeritus, of Marine Chemistry at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego. He obtained his PhD in Chemistry at UCSD in 1968 where Stanley Miller supervised his thesis research. His research deals with the environments on the early Earth that provided the optimal conditions for the synthesis of organic compounds required for the origin of life.
