Javier García: «Nanotechnology adds a third dimension to the periodic table»

PhD in chemical sciences and director of the Molecular Nanotechnology Lab at the University of Alicante (Nanomol), Javier García received last November the King Jaume I award of New Technologies 2014. With him we have a talk regarding nanotechnology, his research field. He explains the different technical applications of nanoscience and molecular nanotechnology in the energy sector and cites the development of more efficient photocatalysts in his laboratory. In addition, he comments on his recent Jaume I award, on the importance of women in the development of science and the inequalities that still exist, as well as the differences between scientific cultures in the United States and Spain.
