Interview with Isabel Béjar

«In CERN, the sense of wonder, of knowing things that are still unknown, is what brings us together»

CERN is an international laboratory where dozens of thousands of people, from different countries and with different mother languages research their common passion: particle physics. The union of all those researchers allowed discoveries such as the popular Higgs boson, but that is not the only example. We interviewed Isabel Béjar, technical coordinator of the HL-LHC, the new CERN cornerstone project. Béjar told us about other goals and challenges for CERN, and how to do «science without borders».
